Exit signs run 24\/7 and as older ones can contain up to two 20w bulbs it is the equivalent of leaving a 40 watt bulb burning\n 24\/7 at an annual cost of approximately $30 each. With close to 300 \nexit signs the Bermuda Club was spending close to $9000 annually on exit\n sign energy costs and constantly replacing burnt out light bulbs.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe solution involved replacing or retrofitting existing exit signs with \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.superiorlighting.com\/LED_Exit_Signs_and_Emergency_Lights_s\/165.htm\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(255, 0, 0);\"\u003eLED exit signs\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e and bulbs that use only 4 watts each. Where possible newer exit signs were installed that included integral LED lights and in areas where this was not feasible an \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.superiorlighting.com\/LED_Exit_Sign_Retrofit_Kits_s\/251.htm\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(255, 0, 0);\"\u003eLED retrofit bulb\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e was installed in the existing exit sign. The new exit signs include a 5 year warranty and with an expected LED lamp life of 25 years maintenance staff won’t be changing these bulbs any time soon. The Association is expecting the project to pay for itself within the \nfirst year due to the tremendous energy savings on their reduced FPL \nbill.
