Direct Burial and Surface Mount Poles

Light poles are the foundation of any commercial and industrial lighting setup. Whenever any open area requires illumination, light poles will need to be installed at adequate spacing to ensure the area is evenly and well lit.

Steel poles, whether square or round in style, have been a staple of the lighting industry due to a simple design that allows for most outdoor luminaires to be mounted with ease and the rugged and hardwearing materials used allowing them to hold up to all but the most severe weather conditions.

Two mounting options are available. Surface mount poles are to be mounted on a concrete foundation using the included bracket and base cover. Simply bolt the mounting bracket into place with appropriate fasteners and affix the pole into place. The second option is direct burial where the pole is submerged in the ground. Ground type and depth must be considered when using this method to create a solid footing.

All models of poles are given a high-grade powder coat finish for protection against the elements and when using a direct burial model, the portion of the pole that is to be submerged has a black asphaltum coating to protect the pole from rust and corrosion.

Maintenance issues are always a concern with any electrical system. All poles come with a ground level maintenance hand hole to gain access to wiring allowing you to test for voltage and shorts should there be an issue. Secondly this allows you to install a fuse at the base of each pole adding extra protection against shorts and surges alike.

Whether dictated by city code or personal preference, lighting levels should be maintained to create a safe and secure environment for personnel, customers and visitors alike. The installation of light poles will guarantee all required areas attain adequate lighting levels.
