Application: The SEWL series is a vandal-resistant, die cast aluminum LED exit sign, listed for indoor/outdoor wet location or NEMA 4X/IP66 Application:s. Spectron self-test/self diagnostic circuitry supplied standard on emergency models. An optional battery heater (emergency models) allows installation with temperature ranges from -30°C to 50°C (22° to 122°F). Application:s include schools, gymnasiums, correctional facilities, apartment complexes, factories, warehouses, parking garages and various other public areas. Construction Housing and matching canopy constructed of 0.5” frame wall thickness, high-strength die cast aluminum with 0.125' closed cell neoprene gasket, or silicone gasket for NEMA 4X version. Signs have a 0.188” thick vandal-resistant polycarbonate face-plate and stainless steel, tamper-resistant spanner head screws (bit included). White or Black powder coat finish. Single or double face with red or green letters and knock-out chevrons. Letters are of 6” height and ¾” stroke. Installation The SEWL exit sign mounts to standard 3-½”, 4” octagon, or 4” square electrical boxes. A ½-14 NPT threaded conduit opening is provided at the top and side of the housing and sealed with closure plugs. For wall mount installation on non-NEMA 4X models, exit housing back-plate provides a knock-out pattern for mounting to outlet box. Canopy included for ceiling or end mounting. For NEMA 4X, supplied canopy must be used for end, ceiling or wall mounting to maintain the water-tight seal. Illumination Exit face illumination is provided by red or green high-output, long life LEDs. Compliances Listed and Labeled to UL 924 Wet Location and UL Type 4X Tested and Rated for IP66 Ingress Protection Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) National Electrical Code (NFPA70) OSHA illumination standards Warranty Full five year (5) warranty.
