Application: The UFO-CF series emergency battery packs work in tandem with an AC ballast to convert one 4-pin compact fluorescent lamp for emergency lighting operation including low mercury and amalgam content lamps, eliminating the need to install additional emergency lighting units. The UFO-CF1 can be used with one 18W-42W (4-pin) twin, quad or triple tube compact fluorescent lamp. The UFO-CF2 and UFO-CF2-CLD can operate one 13W-42W twin, quad or triple tube lamp, one 22W-40W T5 circline or one 18W-39W long compact fluorescent lamp. The UFO-CF emergency battery is compatible with most single and multi lamp electronic, magnetic, standard, energysaving and dimming AC ballasts. UFO-CF2-CLD has an extended operating temperature range for cold environment Application:s For information about specific lamp and ballast compatibility, please call the factory. Construction All unit housings consist of a compact case constructed of 22-gauge sheet metal, finished in black enamel, with 2’ of flexible conduit. Illumination During emergency illumination, one lamp is illuminated, even if installed with a multi-lamp fluorescent fixture. Initial emergency output is up to 860 lumens with the UFO-CF1. Initial emergency output is up to 1250 lumens with the UFO-CF2 and UFO-CF2-CLD. Installation The UFO-CF compact fluorescent emergency battery pack does not affect normal fixture operation and may be used with either a switched or unswitched fixture. If a switched fixture is used, an unswitched AC power supply must also be connected to the UFO-CF compact fluorescent battery pack, and must be fed from the same branch circuit as the fixture’s AC ballast. The UFO-CF may be installed on or remote from the fixture. For remote installation, the UFO-CF may be installed up to one-half the distance the AC ballast manufacturer recommends for remote location from the fixture, or up to 6 feet, whichever is less. Install the test switch for visual confirmation of the charge indicator LED and simplified testing. The test switch may be installed in the ceiling near the fixture. All items returned, must be returned in original manufacturer packaging, and in the same condition that they were received.

We stand behind the products we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a purchase you may return a product within 14 days of receiving it. Absolutely no returns will be made after 14 days. Please inspect all products upon receipt. If an item arrives broken we will make arrangements to either refund or replace the item for you.
Custom orders, Color Kinetics items, large contract jobs (over $1500) and parts cannot be returned.
