Dual-Lite UFO-RP1 2.5W Reduced Profile Fluorescent Lamp Emergency Battery Pack, 500 Lumens

Application: The UFO-RP series emergency battery pack has a reduced profile design that allows it to be installed in ballast channels and enclosures that have an internal height down to 1.15 inches. This series works in tandem with an AC ballast to power one or two 2’ – 4’ single or Bi-pin T8, T12, HO or VHO fluorescent lamps for emergency operation, eliminating the need to install additional emergency lighting units. The UFO-RP2 and UFO-RP3 can also power one or two, 2’-4’ single or Bi-pin T5 and T8 lamps. The UFO-RP series battery packs can act as multiple distributed sources of emergency lighting allowing for greater redundancy. Construction All unit housings consist of a compact case constructed of galvanized steel. The unit contains a solid-state charger with automatic transfer circuit, test switch, LED charge indicator light, a dependable high frequency inverter and a high temperature, Nickel-Cadmium battery. Installation The UFO-RP fluorescent emergency battery pack does not affect normal fixture operation and may be used with either a switched or unswitched fixture. If a switched fixture is used, an unswitched AC power supply must also be connected to the UFO-RP, and must be fed from the same branch circuit as the fixture’s AC ballast. The UFO-RP may be installed on or remote from the fixture. For remote installation, the UFO-RP may be installed up to one-half the distance the AC ballast manufacturer recommends for remote location from the fixture, or up to 10 feet, whichever is less. The remote battery pack must be installed in its own enclosure or in a location that allows the wiring to be fully enclosed. Install the integral test switch for visual confirmation of the charge indicator LED and simplified testing. Illumination Initial emergency output is up to 500 lumens on UFO-RP1. Initial emergency output is up to 700 Lumens on UFO-RP2. Initial emergency output is up to 1400 lumens on UFO-RP3. During emergency illumination, one lamp is illuminated, even if installed with a multi-lamp fluorescent fixture.
