T8 lamps with single-side wiring receive power at one end only. Line and neutral wires connect to the same end, requiring non-shunted sockets.

Installation Options:

Type A – Plug-and-Play: compatible with instant start electronic T8 fluorescent ballasts, allowing you to upgrade without rewiring. Simply remove the old tube and insert the LED replacement, no electrical modifications or fixture changes required. This fast, no-fuss installation makes them perfect for large-scale projects where minimizing labor and downtime is essential.

 

Type B – Ballast Bypass (Direct Wire): provides greater efficiency and long-term reliability. These direct-wire lamps eliminate the ballast entirely, reducing energy consumption and removing one of the most common failure points in traditional systems. Power is wired directly to the sockets, and configurations are available for both single-ended and double-ended wiring setups.

4.All work should be performed by a qualified electrician where needed

For installations where power surge may be possible, Superior recommends installing additional surge protection at the fixture or electrical distribution panel.

Our LED buy and try program provides our customers a 100% risk free, way to test any LED before making a larger purchase.

Are you thinking of switching to LEDs but not sure if the LED will work for you? No problem! Buy a few pieces of what you need to test and then send back what you don't like or purchase more if you do like. You can return any LED bulb or fixture within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund, including the original $9.95 shipping charge.

You will only incur the cost of returning the items to us. We will gladly find a way to help you test some items prior to purchasing large quantities. All items returned, must be returned in original manufacturer packaging, and in the same condition that they were received.

14 days returns and exchange policy
We stand behind the products we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a purchase you may return a product within 14 days of receiving it. Absolutely no returns will be made after 14 days. Please inspect all products upon receipt. If an item arrives broken we will make arrangements to either refund or replace the item for you.
